does Ohio collect state taxes on social security income?

    No, Social Security benefits are exempt from Ohio state income taxes.

     

    If a portion of your Social Security benefits is taxable on your Federal return, an adjustment will be made automatically on your Ohio state return so that the Social Security benefits is not taxed by the state.
