Question

On the form 8801 of my 2018 tax return, it showed an amount of about $40000 on line 26 (credit carryforward to 2019). How can I build this amount into my 2019 tax return?

You can enter your AMT credit carryover in the "Deductions and Credits" section of TurboTax and then "Estimates and Other Taxes Paid" and then "Credit for AMT paid in a prior year." You will see this screen:

 

 

Choose the last option in the list.
