Hoe do I correct the amount I entered for Federal Inome tax with held from the 1099 is doubled  and the State taxes withheld once under the Your tax breaks page?

You would need to correct the input in the federal interview section.

 

Depending upon the type of 1099 income you have, you can correct your input in each section to ensure any withholdings are only reported one time.

 

For example, if you have a 1099-R, your input would be as follows:

  1. Select Income & Expenses 
  2. Scroll down to All Income
  3. Select show more to the right of Retirement Plans & Social Security 
  4. Select start/revisit to the right of IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) 

Make sure you have a copy of your 1099-R(s) form(s) in front of you and correct your withholding input according to the amounts reported on your 1099 forms as they apply to you.   

 

If you entered any withholdings in another section of the program such as Deductions & Credits, you will need to go back to that input and delete the duplicate entries.
