Online TurboTax (Deluxe) for Arizona State does not ask for Form 323 and Form 348 as valid tax credits

I am going through Arizona State tax return for 2021. It does not ask about following valid tax credits (323 and 348) as specified at: Credits for Contributions to Certified School Tuition Organizations | Arizona Department of Revenue (azdor.gov)

However when I got to the end of Arizona State, it was asking me about same forms (323 and 348) from 2020 as I filled those forms in 2020.

Something is wrong with 2021 edition. Please help.

Enter information for Forms 323 and 348 in the Arizona section of TurboTax.

  1. In Arizona, go to School Tax Credits
  2. For Form 323 check I donated to an Arizona private school by April 18, 2022 and complete the section
  3. For Form 348 check I have a credit carryover for contributions to private schools from 2020 and complete the section

Arizona State income tax forms 301, 323, and 348 are used for claiming the Original and PLUS/Overflow Tuition Tax Credits. See Tax Forms.

Now fast forward to 2025 and Desktop TurboTax (Deluxe) 2024 for Arizona State does not ask in the interview for Form 323 and Form 348 as valid tax credits, nor can entries be completed using Forms mode.

Since this appears to be a TurboTax bug that doesn't get fixed for years, it's not likely to be fixed in the 2025 contribution window ending April 15, 2025 for making contributions for 2024.  It's looking like I'll have to complete and file my Arizona return using my calculations and paper to get Arizona tax credit for these school donations.

My post yesterday was not correct!  It turned out that I missed using the interview's "School Tax Credits" topic to check:

  • "I donated to an Arizona public school by April 15, 2025"
  • "I donated to an Arizona private school by April 15, 2025"

After checking these entries and answering the related questions that followed, TurboTax populated Arizona forms 323 and 348 correctly.  I apologize for the confusion.
