Opted for direct debit, MyTaxIllinois shows a balance on my account

Hello,

I've e-filed my federal and IRS debited my bank. I've e-filed my IL tax with a due amount. In the Filing Instructions (Page 1 of 2) from the printout, TurboTax Desktop says:

Your Illinois state tax return (Form IL-1040) shows a balance due of $x.

Your return shows you have elected to pay your balance due of $x by Direct Debit using the following information:
- Amount Withdrawn: $x
- Account Number: <an>
- Routing Transit Number: <rn>
- Date of Withdrawal: 02/26/2024

However, I can't see that information in line 38, and mytaxillinois account now show a balance, with a $0.25 less than on the turbotax form. It's the same bank account that IRS debited from.

Do I have to pay my IL tax with mytaxillinois or just chill and wait until they system kicks in?

Thanks

Wait. The date of withdrawal is simply telling them the earliest they can take the money. Once two weeks after the date has passed, I would suggest calling, (800) 732-8866,  to determine if they have an issue and determine if you need to take any further action.

Thanks, AmyC. I got $0 now after a few days on mytaxillinois account. The sad part, I have to file an amendment but neither turbotax nor mytaxillinois support e-filing.

I am glad it went through. You can efile an amended federal return but IL would need to be mailed in.  See How do I amend my state tax return? for help.
