Out of State Rental Taxes

Hi everyone,

I have a rental property in NV, in the name of a Nevada LLC company (that's owned solely by me).

But, I live in Madison, WI, so I have to file Madison WI taxes.

How do I report my income from the rental property in NV?

Would I include that income on my Wisconsin state-income tax return?

Wisconsin residents report earned everywhere. The net profit or loss from your Nevada rental is taxable to WI.

TurboTax brings this over automatically to your WI Form 1 from federal because WI starts with federal income and the rental is part of your Form 1040.

Nevada has no income tax so you to do not have to file an income tax return. You may have to file documents related to your LLC, such as an annual registration.
