Owe taxes even though Tax Liability less than Total Taxes Paid

In the summary table, TurboTax shows that my "Tax Liability" is ~$2000 lower than my "Total Taxes Paid", but says that I owe ~$1300 in taxes. How do I owe taxes if I paid more than the tax liability already?

If you are looking at the Tax Summary in TurboTax Online, the Total Tax less Total Payments should equal either the amount on the Overpayment line or the Balance Due line. Yes, if you paid more than the total liability including other taxes, you shouldn't expect to see an amount still due.

To see more details than are shown in the Tax Summary, scroll up in the left side menu and select "Preview my 1040".
