Question

PA State Refund: Want to receive the refund, not use it for 2025 taxes. How do I change that.

By mistake I indicated that I wanted my refund applied to my 2025 state taxes.
The TurboTax PA Refund now indicates $0.

I've gone the the "Your Bottom Line Summary" section and tried to change it.
I also tried to go to the line 31 (Credit) on the PA-40 (2024) form. The form is locked. Is there a way to unlock this form?

Hopefully, I don't need to start over.
Any help will be appreciated.

Go to the Pennsylvania state summary and Click on Update next to Your Bottom Line Summary - you can review and change the information here.

    Thanks for the feedback.
That is what I tried earlier.
There seems to be a defect in turbotax (downloaded on a Macbook Pro).
I come to a page where it asks, "Overpayment applied to 2025 Taxes". I entered zero (0), and Turbotax did nothing. It did remove the full overpayment being applied to 2025 taxes.
I just tried it again, and this time I enter one dollar ($1). I then changed my net refund to the full amount minus the $1 and set the "Refund Applied to 2025 Taxes" to $1.

Also note, I you answer the question, "Do you want to apply any of your refund to your 2025 Pennsylvania taxes" with a "No" selection, it leaves the refund set at whatever it is currently set at after the initial value that was set.  The only way I can get any refund is by selecting "Yes", and giving some number other than zero, but then I don't get the full refund.

Followup: I just entered, "$0.01" and this seemed to give me the full refund. That caused an entry of "0." to be entered on the tax summary, "Amount applied to next year's estimated tax" field.

    I have a workaround.
Thanks for the followup. I helped make me think of a way out of the maze...
