PA state taxes

I took early distribution from a 401k last year.  I notice the exemptions for PA include PA schools and working for the state.  Since this 401k was from when I worked for The University of Pittsburgh, is it tax exempt in PA?

    It depends.

     

    It would only be not taxable if you retired after meeting your eligibility requirements as established by the plan.

    If you do not meet the requirements, then your distribution would be taxable.
