My spouse and I got married in 2020. He resided in VA the entire year while I moved to VA from out of state later in the year. I worked while living out of state but made no income since moving to VA. We are filing jointly for our federal taxes.  Turbo tax recommended we file jointly for the VA taxes as well. However, when it comes to the question "select the proportion of income you earned in VA" do I put 0 since I made no money while in VA? Or do I put how much my husband made in VA, as we are filing jointly? The "you" was bolded making me think I should put $0.00 but I wanted to double check.

"You" means the both of you, if filing married filing jointly for Virginia. Enter the amount of Virginia income you earned. In your case, since you had no VA income, it would be your husband's VA portion of the federal totals.
