I and my wife are part year resident of NY and part year resident of NJ. We earned all our income from NY for the full year. While filing the NY state return, it is asking for to allocate the NY income. Should I allocate my NY source income by number of days I stayed in NY and NJ in the NY tax return? OR I should allocate 100% of my NY source income in NY tax return ( does not matter if I lived in NY or not when I earned it)

Any income earned from work carried out in NY is NY-source income, regardless of the taxpayer's residency.
