Pay GA nonresident state taxes if employer only withheld MD state tax?

Hi!

My husband and I live in Maryland.  In 2019 my husband spent every other week in the state of Georgia for his work as a federal contractor.  His employer only withheld state tax for Maryland, however.  (We do not own any property in Georgia and we are both Maryland residents.)

Do we pay nonresident state tax to Georgia for the weeks he worked there?

Thank you!

Nonresidents, who work in Georgia or receive income from Georgia sources and are required to file a Federal income tax return, are required to file a Georgia income tax return. For additional information visit Georgia state website.
