Paying California taxes while living abroad
I will be retiring from Federal Civil Service Dec 2024. I currently live in California. I will be be receiving a Federal Pension and distributions from my TSP account. I plan on moving permanently overseas on 1Mar25 but will still be using a mail forwarding service with a California address to receive mail. No other property or anything connected to California except my Drivers License (until it expires). My bank is a Credit Union so can use their corporate address for that since I do everything online. Will I be considered a non-resident for next years taxes (except for any income I may receive prior to moving from California) and will I have to pay taxes on my pension to California as I'm not sure if it is considered coming from California sources (don't think so since its Federal) or World Wide Income per their website. Thx.
