Our daughter is currently a student in Boston, MA. However, as a student her permanent residency is still in Pennsylvania.  She had a part time job in MA in 2023 and was taken out the MA state taxes on the paycheck. How do we get this straighten out when it comes to filing the state taxes?   thank you!

She files a MA return as a nonresident since she worked there. Then, file a PA return as a resident because she lives there with a credit for the income and tax liability from MA.
