Permanent Address As of December 31

I sold my condo in NY and moved to Florida  in late October 2022. From late October 2022 until late January 2023 I was living in various hotels in different parts of Florida until I finally bought another condo in central Florida. TurboTax is asking for my permanent address as of December 31. I didn't actually have a permanent address on December 31, 2022. Since I intend to file a NY return covering the entire year (2022) should I just use my former address in NY even though I no longer owned the place and wasn't actually living there?

It depends on where you are seeing that question.  If it is being asked as part of the NY state return and you intend to file a full-year NY return, as you stated, then yes, enter that previous NY address.

However, for the Federal tax return and the address shown on the heading of your NY return, you should enter your current address since it will be used by the IRS or NY Department of Taxation and Finance in any future correspondence about your tax return that you are filing.
