I have no amount in my 2024 W2 box 18 for Local Wages, tips, etc..? I have an amount in box 19-Local Income tax (Philadelphia) but box 18 is blank and the tax software keeps saying that box 19 cannot equal or exceed box 18. The box is blank on my W2. I live in NJ and pay NJ taxes. First time in last 7 years this has happened. What should I do?

You can contact your employer to determine the amount of wages you earned in Philadelphia.  If you only worked in Philadelphia, you should be able to enter your Box 1 amount so that you can file.

TT tells me to input box 16, state, wages, tips, etc. If I add that or box 1, it still leaves me with the same message that box 18 which is zero cannot exceed box 19 which has the local income taxes paid. First Time i have had this issue in 7 years.

The 2024 Philadelphia wage tax rate for nonresidents is 3.44%. ‌So, you can back into the local wages for box 18 by taking the amount in box 19 divided by .0344.  For example, if box 19 showed $1,500, you would divide that by .0344 and box 18 would be $43,605.
