Nebraska requires that I attach form K-1N to get the refundable PTET credit for 2013.  Form K-1N is from my Sub S state return.  How do I attach when I file my Nebraska return electronically?

You need the desktop program in order to attach forms and files to your tax return in order to submit them.

How to change from the online version to the desktop version.

How do I attach a copy of the required tax document to my Nebraska return to document the amount of the credit I am taking for Nebraska PTET.

If you decide to e-file your return, you will need to mail the supporting documentation to the State of Nebraska. This is typically your Schedule K-1N. There is currently no way to upload documents that will transmit with your return.

You may want to consider mailing in your return with the necessary documentation attached in order to prevent delays. Per their website, The Nebraska Department of Revenue is not anticipating a delay in processing Forms 1040N claiming a PTET credit, provided the Nebraska Schedules K-1N supporting the credit are attached to the return and the entity that paid the PTET properly filed the Nebraska Schedule PTET.
