Puerto Rico not listed on the States taxes Box 15. What can I do?

Income taxes withheld for taxes due on your Puerto Rican tax return are not deductible on your federal income tax return, so you should not enter them in TurboTax if they are listed on your W-2 form. However, you can apply for a foreign tax credit for the taxes paid to Puerto Rico if you included your Puerto Rico source income on your federal tax return.

 

You would enter those taxes in the Estimates and Other Taxes Paid section of TurboTax, and then Foreign Taxes
