I moved from MA to NE in September 2015, but my company did not withhold state taxes correctly. I ended up getting a large refund from MA, but then had to pay the majority back to NE for the taxes that were not collected. How do I account for that in the space asking about my 2016 refunds, since the information listed is for my MA refund, but of course is FAR more than I actually got back after settling up with NE?

You can claim the refund as income, and also the payment as "Other Income Taxes Paid".
