I work for a company in Missouri where occasionally I am working physically in the state and the rest of the time working remotely in Tennessee.  I’m having issues with my Missouri return where I am receiving an error message that my remote wages cant be more than my Missouri wages.  My understanding is that when I’m wirking at my home in TN that those wages won’t be subject to MO tax.

If you cannot clear this error, leave it blank and look for the screen below to enter the Missouri income. The error may be related to how the state income is reported on your W2.

If you performed remote work for a Missouri employer outside of Missouri during 2021, the portion of income earned while working outside Missouri is not taxable to Missouri. Amounts entered as remote work income will be subtracted from Missouri sourced wages transferred from your federal return.
