Required to file return in Wisconsin ?

As a non-resident I lost money on short term rental of a property in Wisconsin. No Wisconsin income. Must I file a Wisconsin income tax return ?

    It depends. The test is whether or not your Wisconsin gross income (i.e., income before expenses) is greater than $2,000. Even if you lost money, your gross income might be more than $2,000.
