My son and daughter-in-law lived in Tennessee and Ohio respectively last year until their jobs took them both to Arkansas (all of this within the 2021 calendar year).  They did not work in Michigan, however, there is a large amount due showing.  Also, it looks like there is no State tax in Tennessee and Ohio is grouped in with Michigan, does that mean I would only have to purchase Arkansas (I used Michigan as my "free" State)?

Just to clarify- did one or both work in Michigan which caused you to purchase the Michigan state?

Were they married all year?  In which states did each work? and what dates did they live in each state?
