Due to the cost of filing online, I printed out my Virginia taxes, added the W2 and signed the form. I also included the federal return. I received a letter that the return was not processed and "...was poorly or incorrectly formatted. Because of this we were unable to process your return and it was rejected." I submitted what was printed out, and in the order it was printed. Help!

When you print the return from Turbo Tax it often includes worksheets and printed information that does not need to be submitted.

Assuming you are filing as a resident of Virginia, be sure to only send Form 760 and any Forms or Schedules that print behind it, along with your US return beginning with Form 1040 page 1.

The return Forms and Schedules need to be in the correct sequence, in the order that they print.

Do not send any worksheets, letters, instructions or other printed materials.
