State Retrun PENDING for over a week. WHY and how can be sure it was efiled?

I purchased Turbo Tax including STATE return. I completed my taxes, efiled Federal but my STATE return shows "PENDING" and its been a week. State did not receive my return! What do I need to do to get my return to state? Print and mail? I have always been able to efile state

There's nothing you can do to expedite the processing of your state return, and there's no need to print and mail it. Just give it more time.

It's not uncommon for state returns to sit in the Pending queue for a bit. They can't be processed until after federal returns are accepted. And some states have certain checks that must be performed before returns are accepted.
