My state return hasn’t been accepted what does that mean

    It depends. Generally it means it hasn't been accepted by the state after trying to electronically file. It could be because there may be a mistake or missing information in your tax return that needs to be corrected before it can be accepted.

     

    It can also be because of a state processing delay because you state may not be accepting electronic filing at this time because it is too early to submit.
