I've been using free Turbo tax for years, I have never been given the 2500.00 credit on my state tax for Military retirement.  Is this because it's free?  If I pay for Turbo tax, will I get that credit?

    What state? If you are in AZ, the entire amount is exempt and you can't take an extra $2,500 unless you have another taxable government pension.
