Hi,

I changed my employer in November 2021. As part of it, My payroll is run in California State, but I lived in Texas until 31st December 2021. I see that CA  state taxes are withheld in my pay-slips. Is there a way that I could reclaim them back? Do I still have to file CA state tax returns?

Yes, you can. Please see How do I file a nonresident state return?
