State tax filing/status

My monthly pension payment is sent to me from my Chicago employer.  It is electronically deposited into my bank in Va.  I am taxed on this income by Va. I don't see this as being "Va sourced income"  Your advices.  Bill  Bender

    If Virginia is your state of residence then it would be considered Virginia income. The rule is that you pay income tax to your resident state on all income regardless of where it was earned.
