New Mexico medical expenses(line 16a of PIT1 are different from what I entered on SchA? Why? Is this a bug?

New Mexico has different medical expense deduction rules than the federal government so the amounts will probably differ.

Yes, but I thought that the medical expense on Sch. A was simply transferred to PIT1, line 16a by TurboTax. However, the amount that appears in line 16a is different from that on Sch. A. I have tried to trace this transfer but I don't see how to do that.
