I am unable to file my state tax returns without paying, even though I paid for it already. I tried calling the phone number but the system was more than useless. Please help. I want to get my taxes done.

What did you pay for, the Deluxe online edition at $60?  The state program when used with the Deluxe edition is an additional $50.  If you selected to pay any TurboTax account fees with the federal tax refund there is a $40 service charge for that option.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for checking your fees - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/charges-and-fees/help/how-do-i-review-my-fees-in-turbotax-online/0...

Your post shows you are using the TurboTax online editions.  I answered based on that indicator.

Did you install the TurboTax software on your personal computer, download the state program, complete both your federal and state tax returns, and are now e-filing the tax returns?  If so, there is a $24,99 e-file charge for e-filing a state tax return when using the desktop CD/Download editions.  This charge can be avoided by printing and mailing the state tax return.

Or are you being asked to pay for the state program when trying to download the state software for a charge of $44.99?
