I'm having trouble with my Turbotax program. It prints out instructions for electronically filing my state taxes, but I AM NOT filing my state taxes electronically! What's going on?

Which state return are you filing?

You have the option to e-file your federal return and mail in the state return.

Select the File tab
Select E-file and continue.
On the following screen select E-file my federal return now.
Under the state, select Do not file my state return now I'll do it later

State of Colorado. I did exactly what you said. I NEVER hit the e-file key for my state taxes. That's why I don't understand why I am being given instructions on what to sign and what requires me to send copies to the state.

It sounds like you filed but choose to file by mail. If you have not mailed the returns, you can go back in and change your filing method to E-file. Change from mail to E-file instructions.
