My daughter is a college student in Texas but resides in Illinois.

She is about to start a part-time job at the university working a few hours per week.

She will be working from home in Illinois since her classes will be online due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Texas does not have a state income tax, my question is will she be responsible for reporting her Texas income to Illinois and pay taxes on that income that is earned in the state of Texas.

Yes.  Illinois residents are taxed on ALL their income, including income earned outside Illinois.
