I GOT A TRUCKING COMPANY AND I HAVE AN ONWER OPERATOR BUT I DONT KNOW WHAT TO ADD ON THE 1099 IF THE DIRECT DEPOSIT , OR DO I ADD THEM THE FUEL (HE IS USING COMPANY CARD I DISCOUNT EVREY WEEK) AND THE INSURANCE HE IS PAYING?

    It depends:

    • The fuel bill is part of your business expenses and not related to his pay.
    • If it was insurance for your company to operate, then don't include it in his pay.
    • If he is an owner operator and you are just paying him when he works, he is not an employee so you would not be paying his insurance bill. If you did pay his business insurance, include that in his pay.
    • If he is an employee, he would be getting a w2. See Independent contractor  vs employee
