The box on Deluxe says the state is 19.99, but it charged me 24.99 for a SC return, why?

Sorry the early discounted prices expired on Feb 29, 2020. March 1, 2020 there was a price increase. The CD box says prices are subject to change. The prices always change around March 1. So I try to file before then.

It also says on the back of my CD case in the comparison chart....

1 state product via download (print free or efile for $19.99 each) prices subject to change without notice.

Thanks, I did read the fine print, but I didn't know it changed so early. This is good to know for next year.

I also thought they gave you one state filing Free, but I guess that was a while ago. I usually paper file my state but this year I don't think it's a good idea. Stay safe and thanks.

FYI - You get one free state PROGRAM download to prepare unlimited state returns. Then each state return (including the first one) is 19.99 to efile, usually goes up to 24.99 March 1. Or you can print and mail state for free.
