TPG fees
Will TPG charge me $40 for both Federal and State returns for a total of $80?
No---the fee for using refund processing is $40 ($45 in CA) for having the fees for your use of the software deducted from your federal refund. The third party bank is not involved with your state return or state refund at all.

If your TurboTax fees are higher than expected, you can reduce them by removing add-ons (BEFORE you e-file) :
