TT Desktop Estimated Tax State (NY) Peculiarity

So I don't have a lot of estimated taxes to pay, at least at the state level.

First page says my 2024 NY income tax payment is $1,506. Next page when it goes into quarterly detail:

1 1,248

2 377

3 376

4 376

Total estimated tax payment 2,377

I am... bewildered.

It appears that an entry was made for the first quarter voucher for $1,248 because the entry is blue, which means the data was entered. Review the TurboTax article What do all the different colors in Forms Mode mean? for more information.

Don't worry, all you have to do is replace the entry of $1,248 under Voucher amounts for 1st Quarter with $377.

TT Desktop is saying my total estimated 2024 tax payments are $1506.

Then goes on to list four (mostly) uneven payments that add up to $2377.

Am I not understanding something about the vouchers? As the form suggest all four of the payments are about the same... While on the voucher lines beneath - and what displays in step-by-step... the first payment is almost quadrupled.
