Question

Turbo tax is asking if I want to claim a residential income tax credit on a residence in a county I don't live in?

It depends.  

 

You may need to review your input to ensure you have answered all of the state questions correctly. 

 

I recommend reviewing your entire state input again to ensure you have answered all of the questions correctly.  This may remove the question about the credit for a county you don't reside in.

 

If after you have reviewed your input and the question still comes up, you will need to indicate no.
