I completed both my Federal and Michigan state and was able to e-file my federal however TT told me that they don't have the Michigan tax laws up-to-date and I have to wait.  First, they said it would be January 25 that these items would be updated, so I went on today (January 25) to e-file and now it's telling me they won't be ready until January 31!  What's up with this?

I'm a senior citizen needing my return to pay property taxes by February 14!!!!!

You always need to take such dates with a grain of salt. Why? Because at this time of year, the IRS and the state like to drop last minute changes on tax processors like TurboTax, and the product teams have to make choices on what people work on. This often means that for a short time, something else is not getting worked on. Also, every tax change (like the major notice that the IRS dropped on January 8th with dozens of changes/clarifications for the Secure Act 2.0) has to be understood, coded, then tested so as not to break other products already in production.

That's why we point you to the State Availability Page but we never say that those dates are absolute but they may change.

Please be assured that Development teams are working on Michigan (and a lot other things) so please keep a watch on that link.
