Filing as single household with no dependents. However, on Part VII of CA Form 3514 Line 24 (Available Young Child Tax Credit), a number of 1000 is placed there. How do I get this fixed? I went back to edit my information multiple times to ensure that it has that I have no dependent but this number does not go away. Please help!

Use a browser and clear browser data for all time, the sign in to TurboTax.

Go to State

Delete CA state

Then add CA and go through the return again.

I cleared my cache and signed in but there's no option when I clicked on "State" to delete it. Is it because I already "paid" (free) that I cannot change it and have to send an amendment?

If you paid for the state return, it will not delete. If you have not filed, there is nothing to amend, just correct before filing. Clearing the cache may have done the trick. If not, find any CA worksheets with children to delete. You may need to delete several. The program will hold anything truly important.

For stuck information follow these steps:

  1. Delete the form, see How to Delete
  2. Log out of your return
    1. Try one or more of the following:
      • Don't use Internet Explorer.
      • Clear cache and cookies,
      • Sign in using a different browser.
      • Sign in using a different device.
  3. Log back into your return.
    • Enter the form again.
