Unable to print accepted California State Tax Return

Today, I was able to e-file both Federal and California State Returns. I received confirmation that the IRS and the State accepted both returns. However, Turbotax will not print the California State return, returning an error message advising the forms are not available for print at this time.  There is also an offer to sign up for notification, but it won't let me sign up.   This is a simple return for my daughter. There are no unique forms, and the website indicates all forms available for print.  Does this mean that the accepted return can't be processed?  Is there to be an update that will allow print of return?  I've used this downloaded software version for years and never encountered this error.  Any guidance here?

    Hard to know.

    1)   Make sure you have checked/recorded the acceptance of the file from within the software first,,,then try.  An email you received doesn't mean it was recorded in the software.

    2)   Do a Save of the file before attempting to print?

    and maybe

    3)  Wait until the weekly software update. (overnight 31 Jan or 1 Feb) install it....and try again then.

    I did numbers 1 & 2 before commenting here; I should have clarified that, but I am still unable to print.   I will wait for the next software update and hope the issue self-resolves.  I can see by this same concern being raised on other chats that mine is not an isolated issue, however there are others for whom the print appears to have worked fine.  Clearly, this is a Turbotax issue that requires attention.

    @jimsoltonner

    If you think of it, try to pay attention when the update happens, to see if it was only the Federal forms, or Federal + CA.

    Sometimes a state form set is issued/updated a day after the Federal forms do......sometimes together.

    I am having the same issue, but with my SC return.  Is the an update coming this also?

    A good practice with TurboTax is, as you are going through the FILE section, and TurboTax asks if you 'want to view or print your return before filing' say YES, and save a PDF copy to your computer right then.

    Open it briefly to make sure its good, and continue to Efile.  That way you will have a copy saved that you can print any time you like.

    All the South Carolina forms are available to Print or Efile, except  SC1040ES (Estimated Tax),  and SC2210 (Underpayment of Tax).  Here's a link to the SC Forms.

    Make sure your program is updated (the Online link in TurboTax Desktop), or clear your Cache and Cookies in TurboTax Online.

    It's always easier to print from a saved PDF copy of your return than directly from the program.

    So I saved as I went along and was able to file with not issues.  The updates are current but I still get the message that it cannot be printed yet since all the forms are not ready.  I was able to print my estimate vouchers.  I try to sign up and get the unable to sign up message also.
