I have been pursuing a masters degree in Pennsylvania but have maintained Virginia residency. My employer has provided an apartment and paying my salary during this temporary stay in PA. My interpretation is that there is reciprocity between PA and VA so therefore I don't need to file taxes with PA. While I am physically in PA for less than 180 days in 2019, I am not occupying a permanent abode as the duration is fixed and paid for by my employer. Is my interpretation correct?

Yes. File only a VA return.  The salary received while in PA is taxable by VA.
