Virginia taxes municipal bond interest from other states. When I add this income on the appropriate prompt, it is not included in the calculation of the age deduction (over-65) worksheet. This gives me a higher deduction than I qualify for and a lower tax liability. I found a post about this from February 2020; so it looks like the problem may have been around for years. When will it be fixed?
