Question

We have lived in the state of Tennessee for two years now. My husband works remotely for a California company. Do we need to file a state tax return?

We have already submitted our Federal with a Turbo Tax Home and Office software. Shouldn't that have walked us through this situation?

No, if he does the work in TN, it is not taxable in CA.  Do I need to file a nonresident return for an out-of-state employer?  

 

Do I have to file tax returns in more than one state?

 

Why would I have to file a nonresident state return?
