This is the first time I file taxes in the US. I don't know what I am supposed to put if it asks if I lived in the state the whole year, since I moved here in October.
If you have moved here in October with a Green card, then you would be a dual status resident for 2024. You became a US Resident for tax purposes when you became a Green card holder. So all of your income from the time you received the Green Card until the end of the year regardless of where it was earned will need to be included on your US tax return. You will file a 1040 form as a US Resident.
