What is Tpstate for Illinois?

Trying to file and keeps coming back to enter Tpstate. Looks like it will only accept numbers, no alpha characters. What do I put here?

    TpState means taxpayer state. Since you live in IL and need numbers, it must be your IL PIN. If you live in IL, you MUST get an IL PIN from the state department.

    If you don’t know your Illinois PIN you can:

    • look it up on Illinois’ website, Get Your IL-PIN
    • or by calling (800) 732-8866 or (217) 782-3336.
