What should I enter when asked to "Allocate Federal Amounts to Spouse". enter "Other Maryland Substructions". Not sure which form to reference from prior years return.

Allocate Federal Amounts to Spouse. As a married couple filing a joint return, you may be able to exclude part of your income from Maryland taxes. To help us calculate how much you qualify to exclude, enter “Spouse” portion of the total amount for each item listed below. We’ll allocate the rest to “You”. Other Maryland Substructions: ______

    If your spouse has income from outside MD, enter the portion that MD should not tax. You can just look at his w2 wages or whatever forms you have for this year with income that should not be taxed by MD.
