Question

When filling in the New York State tax return, it notes that it is mandatory to enter your New York State ID Document number. However, there is no place to enter this?

There is no place when completing the tax return that it allows you to enter your document number. This rule is new for 2024, as a side note!

    When you go to file your return, you will have to fill in your driver's license information. This meets the state law requiring a driver's license to file a NY return.
