when will new york tax forms be available

I have efiled my federal return early after all forms were available but there is no date available for New York. Specifically I'm Missing Form IT-196.

Thank you for your reply but there are no dates listed on the link. It just states “coming soon”.

Yeah, there were updates issued last night. I think they're re-establishing the availability dates on the various states too. Doesn't mean that all the NY forms will be ready yet, but come back maybe tomorrow to check that state link again.

Still, many of us here strongly recommend that no one attempt to e-file Federal or state tax files until well into February....March is safer.
