Where do I add Game Show winnings for California non-resident?

I was only in California for one day. California tax forms ask for winnings during time I was California resident, which I never was.

Since you made money in more than one state, you will have to file a nonresident tax return for CA. You will enter your game show winnings in the Wage and Income Section of TurboTax.

You should have received a Form 1099-MISC for that income. ‌Refer to the TurboTax Help article Where do I enter a 1099-MISC? for navigation instructions.

Follow the steps below to file a nonresident tax return for CA:

If you've already entered your personal information, review your entries to help ensure that TurboTax will help you create the correct nonresident tax return.

    1. Open TurboTax and select My Info
    2. Personal profile summary screen will pop up
    3. Select Edit by your name
    4. Scroll through the screens to ensure that you have the correct answers for your state of residence.
    5. Scroll down to Other State Income and select Edit
    6. Check your answer for Did you make money in any other states? Answer Yes, and show that you made money in CA.

After you complete your federal tax return and you move to the State Taxes sections, both your nonresident CA and resident state returns will be listed.  Prepare your CA tax return first. TurboTax will guide you through allocating your game show winnings to CA.

For additional information, refer to the TurboTax Help articles Do I have to file tax returns in more than one state?,  Why would I have to file a nonresident state return? and How do I file a nonresident state return?
