Where do I enter local taxes paid on the Maryland State return?

I entered the amount paid on the federal side but I cannot find where to enter it on the Maryland tax return and therefore, it shows that I owe Maryland. I should not since I paid the estimated amount for local tax.

First, were the Maryland taxes withheld on a W-2? If so, the Maryland taxes should have been in box 17 on your W-2.

If, as seems likely, you made direct estimated tax payments to the state, please go to Deductions and Credits, and navigate down to Estimated Taxes (Estimated Tax Payments). Look for State estimated taxes for 2023 and click on Start. (NOTE: this is from the desktop product, but the Online product should be similar).

It's counterintuitive but the state and the federal estimated taxes are located on the same page.
